| Modeling the Dynamics of Inter-Personal Interest Exchange |
| Abstract: A pervasive feature of human interaction is that it changes our interests and opinions. Sometimes we come to agree with those with whom we interact. In other cases we move away from them. In some cases our interests also influence the set of people with whom we interact, thus creating complex feedback loops. In recent years, numerous computational models of these dynamics have been presented. I will review the breadth of work in the field, situate our own research (presented in more detail in the main conference) within this context, and highlight desirable directions for future research. |
